We recently had the pleasure of participating in the Colégio Sant’Ana Career Fair, where we had the opportunity to showcase some of our most innovative and interactive projects. As a research and development group focused on the Internet of Things (IoT) and computing systems, we were thrilled to showcase how technology can be used to transform lives and facilitate inclusion.

Among the projects presented, we highlight:

• AI-powered Libras Recognition: An innovative solution that uses artificial intelligence to interpret Brazilian Sign Language, facilitating the teaching of Libras and promoting communication between deaf and hearing people.
• Vibrating Bracelet for the Hearing Impaired: A prototype that offers a sensory alternative for people with hearing impairments, allowing them to perceive sounds and signals through vibrations.

In addition, we had the opportunity to talk about our robotics study group, share our passion for technology and encourage young people to explore the universe of science, innovation and research.

The members of our group who represented IoT at the fair were: Brenno Azevedo, Israelly Alves, Raquel Duarte and Paulo Abraão under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Wendley Silva, who supported us throughout the project development process and was present to answer questions from students. We thank everyone for their commitment and dedication in presenting the projects and interacting with the students.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Colégio Sant’Ana for the invitation and warm welcome. It was an incredible experience to share our work with the students and we hope to continue collaborating with the institution in future editions of this event.

We look forward to future opportunities to showcase more innovative projects and we also look forward to students visiting our university so that they can get a closer look at our research and development environment.
