NOTICE – ROBOTICS CELL SELECTION PROCESS | NOTICE Nº 03/2025
Published at: May 13, 2025 Category: NewsThe Internet of Things and Computer Systems Center (Nuclic), linked to the Computer Engineering course at UFC Campus Sobral, opens registration for the Simplified Public Selection Process of the Robotics Cell – Notice No. 03/2025. This process aims to select students interested in joining study groups focused on robotics and automation systems, with practical activities and applied projects.
About the Study Groups
The Robotics Cell will be divided into two groups, with content and projects adapted to the participants’ level of experience:
- Padawan Group (Beginners):
Aimed at students who are just starting out in the field of robotics, the group offers a practical introduction to basic concepts of electronics, programming and systems integration. Participants will work with platforms such as Arduino and ESP32, sensors, motors and other components, developing small robots and autonomous devices. The schedule includes 6 theoretical-practical modules, held every Tuesday, from 6pm to 8pm, between 05/27 and 07/01, in addition to extra activities for project preparation. There will be 20 vacancies available. - Jedi Group (Intermediate/Advanced):
Aimed at students with basic knowledge of robotics, the group will cover advanced topics such as programming with FreeRTOS, communication protocols, IoT and board development (KiCad). Activities take place every Monday, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, between 05/26 and 06/30, with a total workload of 16 hours. Projects include Explorer Rover, Controlled Robotic Arm and Line Follower Robot (Sith Group Pilot Project). There will be 12 spots available for this group.
